Wes Montgomery Single Lines

A typical Wes Montgomery solo contains many chromatic passing tones. Rather than random notes these can be explained as bebop scales.  We can adapt Hal Galper’s “forward Motion” concept, which is a fundamental melodic approach to music inspired by the classical genius J.S. Bach right through to bebop masters Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker to the jazz guitar and to Wes Montgomery’s approach to melodic improvising.
