MEET JOSH
From the bandstand
to the practice room.
New Zealand-born jazz guitarist Josh Hindmarsh spent almost a decade performing in New York jazz clubs. His performance career includes sharing the stage with Ronnie Cuber, Roy Hargrove and Joey DeFrancesco.
As an educator, Josh connects musical vocabulary with phrase construction and placement. His 2016 Master of Music research at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music examines Wes Montgomery’s improvisational approach in West Coast Blues.
“Josh Hindmarsh is a great musician that has mastered the true language and feel of America’s original art form.”
